"Santa on a boat in a snowstorm"
Santa on a boat in a snowstorm. Wonder what happened to Rudolph? Anyway, with the amount of rain we've had lately this is pretty apt. This image came from the Magic Moonlight Studio. I guess it's French due to the sentiment "Joyeux Noel", but who knows?
The snowstorm was quite fun to make and consists of dimensional snowflakes sitting on a Tim Holtz' Elegant Flourish. The white glitter card snowflakes are each made from two or three punched snowflakes folded in half and half-stuck together, adhering the underside to the card.
There's a mixture of flowers here - I wanted them to look more like sea flowers so they're not your typical Prima types. They sit on another die-cut Elegant Flourish.
Keen-eyed readers will notice one of the fabulous flowers from Lee at Craftyloops nestling nicely in the corner. The colour was just perfect for this project - thanks Lee :) If you've never visited Lee's blog, you should get on over there and check out her fabulous flower tutorials!
"One of my handmade flowers"
This one is handmade using a few bought white flat flowers from a petal pack coloured with promarkers and stuck together.
"Hand-coloured bought fabric flower"
These fabric flowers were originally white and were bought cheaply in a craft shop. Again, they were coloured with promarkers to match the project.
The background border has a piece of card punched with a MS lace punch and crimped, then covered with a couple of lengths of ribbons and a matching bow added.
